Tonya Smith is the Senior Vice President of Acute Care and President of Winchester Medical Center. [5, 9, 11] She holds a Pharm D, MBA, and MHA. [9, 11] Her previous roles at Valley Health and Winchester Medical Center included Director of Pharmacy, Corporate Director of Pharmacy, and Vice President of Operations and Ancillary Services. [9, 11] She led the system-wide implementation of Epic in 2014. [9, 11] Before returning to Valley Health, she was President of Munson Healthcare's Cadillac Hospital and other community hospitals, and led their system integration efforts. [9, 11] She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland University College. [9, 11] Tonya volunteers in community leadership roles and is a native of the area, with a personal connection to Winchester Medical Center as the hospital where her children were born and where she previously served as VP of Operations.
