With over three decades of dedicated service to Virginia Gay Hospital, Eden brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a deep commitment to community healthcare. Eden has been serving as Interim Co-Chief Executive Officer since August 2024 while continuing her role as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Her leadership and operational expertise have been instrumental in guiding the hospital through significant advancements and challenges. Eden began her career at Virginia Gay Hospital in 1989 and has held various positions, including Director of Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Manager, and Staff RN. Her experience spans critical areas such as nursing and outpatient operations, infection control, employee health, pharmacy oversight, trauma coordination, and clinic operations. Her extensive background in healthcare administration and patient care uniquely positions her to lead Virginia Gay Hospital into the future. Eden holds a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration from Upper Iowa University. Additionally, she earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Kirkwood Community College and has been a licensed healthcare professional for over 30 years. A dedicated community member, Eden serves on the Kirkwood Community College Nursing Advisory Board and is an active member of the Iowa Organization for Nurse Leaders and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. She also volunteers her time with North Benton Ambulance, Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Benton County Disaster Recovery Coalition.
