Mr. Tim Miller has thirty-four (34) years of mental health and intellectual developmental disability leadership experience with six (6) years in behavioral health hospital administration and is uniquely equipped to service in the Cherry CEO Role. Tim is an experienced mental health facility leader. His most recent role was the administrator for The University of Florida Health Psychiatric Hospital, an 81-bed inpatient facility located on an eight-acre campus providing mental health and substance use services to both adults and adolescents. Mr. Miller also served as the Chief Executive Officer for Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health, a 108-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. He was with Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital from June 2017 until November 2019, starting as its director of risk management and performance improvement and later becoming chief operating officer. Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a 105-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital based in Conway, South Carolina. Tim has worked in numerous states for various companies, including Recovery Innovations, Home Care Management Corporation and ResCare Home Care. Tim started in the field of IDD in College where he volunteered with a local agency to assist with group outings. Tim began his professional career in North Carolina as a Group Home Technician working with a population known then as "Willie M". His work early in his career included working at a sheltered workshop that served patients from Dorothea Dix Hospital. This led him to work for CNC/ACCESS, a community provider for individuals with IDD and MH challenges. It was while working with CNC/ACCESS, that he grew in his knowledge and desire to work with individuals with Mental Health challenges. Mr. Miller earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Clarion University and a master's in strategic leadership from Mountain State University. Mr. Miller and his family will be residing in Goldsboro, NC where they will immerse themselves in the local community.
