Belinda Farmer

Administrator, Mercy Hospital Carthage

Belinda Farmer serves as administrator of Mercy's critical access hospital in Carthage, Missouri. She joined Mercy in this role in 2024. Prior to Mercy, Belinda's health care career included roles in admissions, oncology and quality. [6] Farmer has been working in hospitals in various roles since she was a teenager, which she says ignited a “love affair” with health care. [4] Farmer said Mercy's foundation in faith is one of the things that drew her to seek this new position. “The Sisters of Mercy have similar mission, vision, and values as I do in both a professional and personal capacity,” she said. [4] Farmer is currently in the process of completing a doctoral program, and she and her husband have eight children and grandchildren, so free time is hard to come by. [3] Farmer is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a registered radiation therapist. [3]
