Ella Goss

Chief Executive

MSN, RN. Served as the director of the Providence Cancer Center. Since joining Providence in 1997 as a staff nurse in the hospital's Emergency Department, Goss has served in a variety of leadership positions, including chief flight nurse for LifeGuard, clinical manager of Emergency Services, director of Medical Staff, Risk Management and Regulatory Services. Prior to joining Providence, she worked in rural emergency departments in Kotzebue and Newfoundland. Active in the community, participated in several boards, including the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, Imaging Associates of Providence joint venture board, and The Foraker Group Governance Board. YWCA Alaska named Ella a 2018 Woman of Achievement. Has bachelor of science and master of science degrees in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, Ill. Also has certification as a professional in health care risk management and health care quality.

Oversees children's and women's services at the “hospital within a hospital” at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, including the Mother Baby unit, Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics department, Alaska CARES, and Nurse-Family Partnership. Prior to this role, led the Alaska Health Alliance, a Providence-sponsored clinically integrated network. Has been with Providence Alaska since 2019 as manager of provider relations, contracts, and network development prior to becoming executive director of Alaska Health Alliance.
