April Bennett

President

April Bennett, MSN, CHFP, RN, was named President of Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway in November 2022. [5, 8] She previously served as the hospital's chief nursing officer since 2020. [5] Her accomplishments as CNO include supporting the opening and expansion of multiple specialties, decreasing bedside RN turnover, recruiting and replacing RN travelers with full-time staff, and growing the inpatient census by 20 percent. [5] She also leads the medical/surgical nursing consortium for all 11 of Baptist Health's hospitals. [5] Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2020, Bennett worked for Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri, where she was the vice president of nursing services for seven years. [5] She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Southern University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. [5]

Associate Vice President (AVP) of Hospital Operations

Ian Stewart, MBA, was named associate vice president (AVP) of hospital operations at Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway in June 2023. [3, 4] He has over 10 years of experience in health care leadership, supporting teams such as environmental services, facilities, therapy, security, biomed, and nutritional services. [3, 4] Before this role, he served as assistant administrator for Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital in Easley, South Carolina. [3, 4] His career includes success in implementing new programs, policy management, growing volumes, and improving the patient experience. [3, 4]

Trenda Ray

Chief Nursing Officer

Trenda Ray joined Baptist Health Medical Center-Conway as Chief Nursing Officer in March 2024. [2] She has over twelve years of experience in various leadership roles at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), including serving as CNO. [2] Before her time at UAMS, she spent over ten years at Arkansas Children's Hospital as an RN and later as an APRN in the CVICU, eventually becoming the Director for Clinical Operations in Ambulatory. [2] She is described as a passionate advocate for patient safety and the wellbeing and safety of the team. [2]
