James O'Connor was promoted to president of St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y. in December 2018. [6]

Dominick Pernice, RT, MBA

Chief Operating Officer

Dominick Pernice, RT, MBA, has been named Chief Operating Officer for Catholic Health's St. Charles Hospital. [11] In this role, Pernice oversees daily hospital operational and administrative functions, designs and implements business strategies, plans and procedures, sets comprehensive goals for performance and growth across all clinical service lines, and continues to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. [11] Most recently, Pernice served as COO for Catholic Health's St. Catherine of Siena Hospital for the past year. [11] Prior to his role as St. Catherine's COO, he served for 13 years as the administrative director of imaging services and cardiac catheterization at St. Catherine of Siena and St. Charles hospitals. [11] His expertise from having worked at both hospitals will be an asset as St. Charles Hospital looks to further expand clinical services. [11] Prior to joining Catholic Health, Pernice served as assistant director of radiology, supervisor of magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound, evening imaging supervisor and radiologic technologist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park. [11] Mr. Pernice earned his Master of Business Administration at LIU Post and is a Six Sigma Green Belt. [11]
