Chief Operating Officer (COO), Laura Peckham, RN, MHA, MBA, has gained a wealth of knowledge through both her professional experience and advanced education. Prior to being appointed COO, Peckham served as University Health's Associate Chief Ambulatory Leader, a position that followed her roles of Chief Clinical Officer and later Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Landmark Hospitals. During her tenure at University Health (UH), Peckham has played a key role in several initiatives. An alumni of University of Missouri-Columbia, Peckham obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts in International Business & Spanish before going on to receive two master's degrees; one for health administration in management and the other for business administration in marketing. Peckham also completed the University Health Executive Fellowship in 2023. As COO of University Health Lakewood Medical Center, Peckham oversees several areas including primary care clinics, Long-Term Care and Jackson County Public Health.
