Marc Gorelick, MD

President, chief executive officer

Joined Children's Minnesota in March 2017 as Chief Operating Officer before transitioning to CEO in December 2017. He previously served as executive vice president and COO of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Gorelick is retiring in July 2025.

James Burroughs

Senior vice president, government and community relations, chief equity and inclusion officer

Joined Children's Minnesota in January 2019 as the first chief equity and inclusion officer. He is responsible for advancing equity and inclusion across the organization as well as leading advocacy, government affairs and community relations.

Brenda McCormick

Chief financial officer and senior vice president

Joined Children's Minnesota in August 2019 and leads the finance, strategy, innovation, supply chain and facilities teams. Previously, she was the chief financial officer and senior vice president at Smiths Medical. She's also held financial leadership positions at Valspar, Lawson Software, International Multifoods, The Pillsbury Company (Diageo) and Coca-Cola Enterprises. Ms. McCormick has been recognized as a top CFO.

Dave Lundal

Senior vice president, chief information officer

Joined Children's Minnesota in March 2019. He is responsible for the strategic direction and technical support of all information systems supporting the hospitals and clinics. He also provides leadership for the Health Information Management department. Mr. Lundal brings more than 25 years of experience in health care information technology and leadership.

Brooke Moore, MD, MPH

Chief of Staff

A pediatric pulmonologist at Children's Respiratory and Critical Care Specialists. She completed her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Minnesota and Children's Minnesota. She attended medical school at the University of Minnesota – Duluth, received her masters in public health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Moore is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics in Pediatric Pulmonology.

Andrew W. Kiragu, MD

Vice-Chief of Staff

An Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. As a pediatric intensivist, he provides critical care at Children's Minnesota. Dr. Kiragu is a Fellow of both the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, followed by his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC.

Aimee Sznewajs, MD

Clinical vice president of specialty pediatrics

Will assume the role leading a broad portfolio of specialty services that will include the emergency departments, hospital medicine, cancer and blood disorders, medical imaging, and lab/pathology provider groups following a planned retirement.
