Mark A. Papalia, FACHE, was appointed president of UPMC Kane on June 1, 2018. Mr. Papalia began his career at UPMC Kane in January of 2005 as financial analyst and was later promoted to director of finance in 2009. Most recently, Papalia has served as director of operations. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Mr. Papalia earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in statistics from the Pennsylvania State University at Erie, The Behrend College, and a master's degree in applied statistics from Bowling Green State University. He also received a certificate in healthcare financial management from Indiana University.
