Central Regional Hospital

Central Regional Hospital, located in Butner, NC, is one of North Carolina's three state psychiatric hospitals. Operated by the Division of State-Operated Healthcare Facilities, we provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care to adults and adolescents across 25 counties, and specialized care for children ages 11 and under from all 100 counties. As a teaching hospital with 338 beds, we are affiliated with UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University, training the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and certified to provide treatment by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
