Received an Associate degree in Healthcare Risk Management and Quality Review from the Michigan Hospital Association and Lansing Community College. Has over 20 years experience in leadership and management in a hospital setting, including previously as Director of Quality Improvement & Risk Management at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital from 1993-2016. Member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Born and raised in Manistique.

Appointed to the Board of Trustees on 10/12/2017, term expires 12/31/2026. Retired attorney. Worked in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years before practicing law. Born and raised in Manistique. Served in various capacities in the insurance industry including claim manager, catastrophe management and planning, corporate planning, and coordinating executive compensation and claim vice president. Presented at insurance industry and bar association conferences. Served on numerous insurance industry and charitable organization boards.
Appointed to the Board of Trustees 6/24/2021, term expires 12/31/2028. Superintendent of Manistique Area Schools. Professional experience includes working in several Michigan school districts as Superintendent/Principal, Elementary Principal, and teacher. Involved in the ADA (American Diabetes Association) and the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
Retired from Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in 2018 after 38 years of service. Held various Nursing positions, including Chief Nursing Officer from 2008 – 2018. Education includes a Master of Science in Nursing – Leadership and Management from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Bay College, and a License Practical Nursing degree from Northern Michigan University.
