Thorpe, who joined Banner Health in 1992, was the hospital's chief financial officer and then interim CEO before eventually becoming CEO. A licensed certified public accountant, Thorpe has a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
