Erik Cazares

Chief Executive Officer

Erik Cazares is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. [4, 10] He was appointed to this position effective July 1st, 2024. [2, 7] Cazares has over 16 years of healthcare leadership experience. [2, 4, 7] Prior to this role, he served as Chief Executive Officer at The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus in El Paso, TX, a Tenet facility. [2, 4, 7] His tenure at The Hospitals of Providence began in 2001 as a Registered Nurse, and he transitioned into leadership in 2008. [2, 4, 7] He has overseen multiple inpatient departments and led the implementation of service lines in cardiac, orthopedics, and oncology. [2, 4, 7] In 2018, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at East Campus before becoming CEO of The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus. [4, 7] He holds a BSN from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Master's in Nursing Administration from Texas Tech University. [4, 7] His experience includes partnering with physicians to develop and grow clinical programs. [4, 7, 2]

Christina Rasmussen

Associate Administrator

Christina Rasmussen has joined the executive leadership team at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center as an Associate Administrator. [3, 9, 11] In this role, she oversees various operational aspects including pharmacy, imaging, facility operations, security, food & nutrition services, environmental services, and emergency management. [5, 8] Before joining Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Rasmussen was the Senior Director of Enterprise Operations at Tenet Healthcare. [3, 5] She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance and Management, and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, where she is also a guest speaker, mentor, and active alumna.
