Under his leadership, CaroMont was recently named as one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Watson Health and received its eighth straight grade “A” for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group. Has spent more than 20 years leading large national and regional nonprofit and public administration organizations. Prior to joining CaroMont Health, was the Deputy County Manager for Mecklenburg County. An honors graduate from the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Amberton University. A certified lean six-sigma executive champion and holds a strategic executive designation from Cornell University. Highly engaged in the community through service on numerous boards including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Gaston, the Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Gaston Development Corporation. Was one of the founding members of the North Carolina Business Leadership Network. Resides in Belmont, NC with wife, Cheryl, and their two daughters.
