Walt Willis

Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Dr. Walt Willis, M.D., has been named Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at the Choctaw Health Center (CHC). He is an experienced physician and health care executive with a decades-long proven record of success in providing exceptional health care and is committed to advancing quality patient outcomes in the areas of family, emergency, and hospital medicine. Dr. Willis most recently served as the Medical Director of Rush Health Critical Access Hospitals and Primary Care Clinics. He brings more than 36 years of leadership experience and extensive knowledge as a practicing physician. Dr. Willis' responsibilities as Chief Medical Officer will include overseeing all aspects of CHC's clinical areas and quality initiatives that advance the health mission to provide the highest level of healthcare to the Tribal communities and patient population. A native of Neshoba County, Dr. Willis is the son of Mary Lewis Willis of Philadelphia and the late Joe Louis Willis.
