Katrina Norris

Executive Director, Indiana State Psychiatric Hospital Network

Katrina Norris is the Executive Director of Indiana's State Psychiatric Hospital Network within the Division of Mental Health and Addiction. [3, 4] In this role, she oversees all six of Indiana's state hospitals. [3] She is described as a fierce mental health and substance use disorder patient advocate and has assisted in authoring legislation and presented at committee hearings. [3] She has also taught as an adjunct professor for Ivy Tech Community College and the IU School of Social Work. [3] She holds four undergraduate degrees, two licenses (LCSW, LAC, CADAC V), and a board certification. [3, 4] She is involved with the IU Grand Challenges initiative and has received awards, including the NASW Region 5 Social Worker of the Year in 2014, the Distinguished Alumni Award from IU School of Social Work in 2016, and the bicentennial medal from Indiana University in 2020.
