President and Chief Executive Officer

Brian Gibbons was promoted to President of Astria Health in May 2019 and began his role as interim President and CEO following the resignation of his predecessor. In February 2021, Brian was named the permanent President and CEO of the company. [7] He previously served as president of Astria Sunnyside Hospital. [15] His background includes over 30 years of healthcare experience, with skills in negotiation, managed care contracting, and business cycle management. [7] He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from Loyola University New Orleans in 1986 and Master's Degrees in Business Administration and Health Science from the University of Florida in 1990. [7]

Steven Hunsaker is the new System Director of Quality & Risk Officer at Astria Health, joining in January 2024. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington and has over eight years of experience in upper management and executive capacities in healthcare, with expertise in quality control, risk management, patient safety and relations, as well as accreditation.
