Aspire Rural Health System celebrated a successful Open House at its newly renovated facility in Bad Axe on Thursday, May 29th. The event, held from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, marked the official celebration of the site's expansion and the growth of Aspire's services in Huron County. Attendees were given tours of the updated facility located at 684 N. Port Crescent Street, which now includes Family Practice & Pediatrics, Rapid Care, Outpatient Services, and a Specialty Clinic. The open house featured a ribbon cutting ceremony, refreshments, a prize basket drawing, live on-air interviews by WLEW radio, and treats from the Extreme Freeze Food Truck. Tracey Foster, Practice Manager, expressed excitement about the expansion allowing them to better serve patients locally with comprehensive, quality care. Staff and providers interacted with guests, answering questions about the available services. Visitors appreciated the hospitality, informative tours, and the chance to connect with the care teams, highlighting Aspire's dedication to rural healthcare access in the Thumb region.

Aspire Rural Health System welcomed students from Marlette Community Schools and Tuscola Technology Center for a Career Day experience during Hospital Week on May 13th and 14th. The event took place at Aspire's Marlette and Cass City campuses, providing students with a behind-the-scenes look at various hospital departments. Students explored areas such as Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory Services, Acute Care, Physical & Occupational Therapy, and Emergency Medical Services. This initiative aimed to expose students to potential career opportunities within the medical field and allow them to interact with healthcare professionals. Trisha Clark, Human Resources Senior Director, expressed hope that the experience would inspire students to consider future careers in rural healthcare.

Aspire Rural Health System announced the upcoming opening of a retail pharmacy in Marlette on June 2nd. The new pharmacy, named Aspire Marlette Pharmacy, will be located in the former Rite Aid building at 2985 Main Street. It will offer both walk-in service and drive-thru access. The pharmacy is planned to be open seven days a week and will provide a comprehensive range of services, including prescription medications and over-the-counter health products.
