Phyllis Peoples

CEO

Phyllis Peoples is the President and CEO of Terrebonne General Health System, a position she has held since 2003. A Houma native, her career in healthcare spans 39 years, beginning as a Registered Nurse. Peoples holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, two master's degrees in nursing administration and nursing education from Valdosta State University, and a master's degree in Public Health, in addition to completing doctoral studies at Tulane University. She transitioned into leadership roles, becoming Terrebonne General's longest-serving CEO. Her background blends nursing with business acumen, influenced by her family, which included pharmacists, a nurse, and a real estate businesswoman. Peoples oversees a large healthcare team and medical staff, leading the largest health system in the region. She is recognized for her compassionate leadership, commitment to mentorship, and efforts to bring advanced healthcare to the community.

Diane Yeates

Chief Operating Officer

Diane Yeates is the Chief Operating Officer at Terrebonne General Health System. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 27 years, with a significant tenure at Terrebonne General, starting as a 19-year employee before becoming COO in 2008. Prior to her role as COO, she held positions including director of budget and reimbursement, director of patient financial services, and chief financial officer starting in 2002. Yeates holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University, where she received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Business. She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1987 and is a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, she is a fellow in both the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. In her role as COO, she is responsible for growth initiatives, overseeing operational functions, and maintaining relationships with staff, physicians, and board members. She has also been involved in significant projects such as the implementation of a new EHR system and the planning and development of the Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center.

Teresita McNabb

Sr. Vice President of Clinical Services

Teresita McNabb, RN, MSHSA, NE-A, CLNC, is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services at Terrebonne General Health System, where she oversees all clinical aspects of the system. She has a long tenure with Terrebonne General, having been with the organization for over 38 years. McNabb began her career as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff nurse and progressed to the role of Vice President of Nursing Services, a position she held for nearly 20 years and in which she was responsible for developing and implementing the hospital's plan for providing nursing care. She graduated from Louisiana State University Health New Orleans School of Nursing in 1985. McNabb holds various health-related certifications and is involved in numerous professional and social organizations. She has been appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Nursing multiple times by the Governor, serving to protect the public and advance nursing in Louisiana. Her accomplishments include receiving a Nicholls State University Nursing Leadership Award and serving on the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency Advisory Board. She is also an active member and past president of the Downtown Houma Rotary Club and has served on the board for the Houma Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. In 2023, she was honored as an Outstanding Alumnus by The LSU Health Science Center School of Nursing for her contributions to the nursing profession.

Cindy Duet

Vice President of Clinical Ancillary Services

Cindy Duet is the Vice President of Clinical Ancillary Services at Terrebonne General Health System. She has been with Terrebonne General Medical Center since 1987, starting as a staff pharmacist. She became Pharmacy Manager in 2003, Pharmacy Director in 2009, and served as Assistant Vice President of Organizational Excellence before being appointed to her current role as Vice President of Clinical Ancillary Services in 2018. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing departments such as pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, and cardiopulmonary areas, as well as quality initiatives and organizational excellence. Kevin Ghirardi

Vice President of Support Services

Kevin Ghirardi is the Vice President of Support Services at Terrebonne General Health System, a role he has held since at least 2017. As part of the executive leadership team, he contributes to the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the health system. Assistant Vice President of Finance

Cory Leonard was named Assistant Vice President of Finance at Terrebonne General Health System on April 6, 2022. A lifetime resident of Houma, he has nearly 30 years of prior experience, including serving as Physician Practice Finance Director, General Accounting and Centralized Billing Office Manager at Terrebonne General Health System, and Director of Business Services at Cardiovascular Institute of the South. Leonard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Nicholls State University and is a Louisiana Certified Public Accountant. He also holds a designation from the American College of Medical Practice Executives as a Certified Medical Practice Executive.

Laura Poole

Assistant Vice President of Nursing

Laura Poole is the Assistant Vice President of Nursing at Terrebonne General Health System. She has been part of the Terrebonne General team for over 35 years. In her role as Assistant Vice President of Nursing Services, she is responsible for developing and implementing the hospital's plan for providing nursing care to patients in various settings. She also serves on numerous committees within Terrebonne General focused on improving patient care, employee communication, and nursing staff education. Poole became a Registered Nurse in 1983. She earned her Bachelor's in Nursing from Loyola University and her Master's in Nursing from Louisiana State Health Science Center in New Orleans. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive – Advanced by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In May 2020, she was named the Bayou District Representative for the Louisiana Organization for Nursing Leadership (LONL). She has also served as the President of the LONL.

Bernie Clement

Vice President of Information and Innovation

Bernie Clement is the Vice President of Information and Innovation at Terrebonne General Health System. He is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience, including leadership positions at East Jefferson General Hospital and other local facilities. Clement has successfully led data-driven strategic planning projects and growth initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology from Houston Baptist University. Clement is also certified in Lean and Project Management. He previously served as the Director of Information Technology at Terrebonne General Health System, a role he began in 2021. In his current role, he directs and leads all daily aspects of information technology and spearheads various growth and innovation projects.

Danny Hoychick

In-house Corporate Attorney

Danny Hoychick serves as the In-house Corporate Attorney at Terrebonne General Health System. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University in 2001. Prior to joining Terrebonne General, Hoychick worked for 14 years at the law firm of Watkins, Walker & Eroche, where his practice included malpractice defense, premise liability defense, contracts, and corporate law. In his role at Terrebonne General, his responsibilities involve handling business transactions, reviewing contracts, conducting negotiations, overseeing risk management, and assisting with strategic development. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the Terrebonne Parish Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Hospital Association, and the American Health Law Association, and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
