Veteran leader with 20 years of healthcare leadership experience in Alabama and Georgia, previously CEO of Augusta University Health and executive vice president of health affairs at Augusta University. Previously worked 17 years in the UAB Health System, served as treasurer and director of financial operations. Became senior vice president and chief financial officer of UAB's Montgomery affiliate, Baptist Health. Became CEO at Augusta University Health in 2019. At the helm for over two years (as of Dec 2024), came on board in September 2022.

Dawn L. Alexander is the Chief Nursing Officer at DCH Health System, a position she has held since June 2022. She also served as Interim Chief Nursing Officer in November 2022. Alexander is the first Black female executive in DCH Health System's 100-year history and has over 35 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing. Before joining DCH, she was the Chief Nursing Officer at Southern Regional Medical Center from March 2020 to December 2021 and at Nashville General Hospital from July 2015 to December 2019. Her prior roles include Vice President Patient Care Services/CNO at Memorial Healthcare from March 2011 to February 2015, and administrative positions at Erlanger Medical Center as Administrator (December 2008 to March 2011) and Service Line Administrator (February 2007 to 2008). Alexander holds a Master's degree in Health Administration from Saint Joseph's University (1996-1999) and an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from Florida Gulf Coast University (2003-2005). She has worked in various states across the country, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Washington, and Michigan. Her work at DCH involves overseeing over 1,200 staff and managing a budget exceeding $125 million, with leadership spanning critical departments like the ICU, NICU, and emergency services. She has been recognized for her contributions, including being named one of Becker's CNOs to Know and receiving the Janet Awtrey Leadership Award from The University of Alabama – Capstone College of Nursing.

Jason R. Bearden, M.D., is a Radiologist who serves as a Board Member at DCH Health System. He practices at The Radiology Clinic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which he joined in July 2006. Dr. Bearden, a native of Selma, Alabama, earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University. He completed his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, followed by an internship and residency at Baptist Health System. He further specialized in neuroradiology through a fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He is approved to practice by the American Board of Radiology and specializes in neuroradiology.
Carl Jamison is a Board Member at DCH Health System. He is a third-generation Shareholder at JamisonMoneyFarmer PC, where he has worked since 1980, becoming a Shareholder in 1987. His professional focus is in tax and audit services for various industries. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and completed medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He further specialized with a fellowship in spinal surgery in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Claytor joined University Orthopaedic Clinic in 2005. His expertise includes spinal surgery, general orthopaedics, arthroscopy, sports medicine, joint replacement, and trauma. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Tuscaloosa County Medical Society. He has authored publications and presented at conferences on orthopedics and spine surgery. Dr. Claytor is also listed as a collaborating healthcare provider with DCH Regional Medical Center for the Medicare Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model.
John Mize is a member of the DCH Health System Board of Directors. He was a Tuscaloosa County appointee to the board in 2014 and served on the Audit and Compliance committees.
David Gay, Jr. is a Board Member at DCH Health System. He holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor's degree in Theology. Gay has had a distinguished career in mental health, serving as the first Black CEO of Bryce Hospital and also as the director of Taylor Harden Secure Medical Facility. He is currently the CEO of Whatley Health Services and the senior Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. Additionally, he is a retired Major from the Alabama National Guard and has served as an educator at institutions including the University of Alabama, Shelton State Community College, and Stillman College.
