Dr. John J. Warner leads the vision, strategy and operating performance of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's research, education and patient care mission across its hospitals, outpatient care centers, nationally ranked College of Medicine and research institutes. [2, 9] A national leader in academic medicine, he's dedicated to improving health care quality, safety and experience by putting patients and their families first. [2, 9] He became chief executive officer of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and executive vice president at Ohio State in April 2023. [9] Before joining Ohio State, Dr. Warner spent 20 years as a cardiologist and leader within the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. [9]
Jay Anderson is responsible for leading the execution of the vision, strategy and overall performance for all clinical enterprise operations – including all seven hospitals, as well as the ambulatory services division. [2] He's an established health system leader with significant experience in performance improvement, quality and operations. [2] Jay Anderson became the chief operating officer for the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in July 2021. [14]
Dr. Andrew Thomas serves as the Wolfe Foundation Chief Clinical Officer for the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. [2] He is responsible for all patient care services and medical staff administration. [2] Previously, Dr. Thomas served as medical director of University Hospital and associate dean for Graduate Medical Education. [2] He has been involved in university projects including the implementation of electronic health records, root cause analysis for safety events, patient satisfaction, clinical efficiency, simulation training, professionalism and physician health. An internationally recognized head and neck cancer surgeon-scientist and leader in academic medicine, Dr. Carol R. Bradford became the dean of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and vice president for Health Sciences of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in 2020. [2, 4] She also holds the Leslie H. and Abigail S. Wexner Dean's Chair in Medicine and is a professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. [2, 4]
Rachit Thariani oversees a portfolio of programs and services aimed at creating a seamless continuum of care extending into the home and in post-acute settings. [2] He also leads Ohio State's value-based care initiatives, including serving as the executive leader for the accountable care organization. [2] With Ohio State since 2004, Rachit has served as chief population health officer, interim chief strategy officer and chief planning officer for the Wexner Medical Center. [2]
Dr. Chyke Doubeni joined the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center as chief health equity officer in 2022. [2] He's tasked with leading Ohio State's continued efforts to address the underlying drivers of disparities in health care that adversely impact groups with experiences of socioeconomic disadvantage and to foster more equitable care and health outcomes for everyone.
