Cooper University Health Care has announced the recipients of the 2025 Nurses of the Year Awards: Raymond Duma, BSN, RN, who works on a medical-surgical unit at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, and Yulia Schaffer, BSN, RN, CMC, CCRN, a critical care nurse at Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional in Cape May Court House [6]. Duma received the William A. Schwartz, Jr. Nurse of the Year Award, named in honor of the late William A. Schwartz, a longtime member of Cooper's Board of Trustees [6]. Schaffer was honored with the Charles and Barbara Dalrymple Nurse of the Year Award, made possible through the generous proceeds of the annual 5K Run for Nurses [6]. Both awards were presented during Cooper's Annual Nursing Excellence Awards held in conjunction with National Nurses Week (May 6–12) [6]. In addition to being named Nurses of the Year, both honorees received individual awards recognizing their excellence in specialized areas of practice [6].

Shaan Mody, a senior biology major at Rutgers University–Camden, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Cooper Civic Leadership Award [14]. The award, presented at a recent student ceremony on the Rutgers–Camden campus, honors a student who exemplifies outstanding civic leadership and service to the Camden community [14]. Established in 2018, the Cooper Civic Leadership Award celebrates students whose work reflects a deep commitment to community engagement and transformative change [14]. Cooper University Hospital in Camden is the only Level 1 trauma center in South Jersey and the busiest in the region [14].

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer III who will be responsible for development, summarizing, and presenting financial and clinical information to the business community from various reporting environments such as electronic medical record systems, databases, and data warehouses. The position holder will demonstrate advanced technical, ownership, and relationship management skills to fully utilize multiple technology environments, such as Epic-based Reporting Workbench reports, Radar Dashboard, Slicer Dicer, and Caboodle Data Warehouse, custom solutions in Clarity, and deliver high-quality artifacts [24]. The position holder will also demonstrate leadership or advisory skills, including conceptualizing needs, prioritizing and negotiating deliverables, promoting Epic-based tools, leading in training material creations and sessions, as well as building customer relationships and contributing toward Caboodle Data Warehouse enhancements [24]. The position holder will also guide junior resources in the best utilization of tools and technologies, as well as lead in new artifact creation process ensuring accuracy and performance [24].
