Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Dakota was named "Best Health Insurance Agency" by The Local Best of Sioux Falls for the third consecutive year following a community voting process. Wellmark provides health insurance to over 400,000 South Dakotans and extended its individual and family plan coverage to 20 more counties in South Dakota in 2025, now covering 42 counties. Medicare Advantage options also became available to eligible individuals in 43 out of South Dakota's 66 counties in 2025.
