Has served as the Commissioner since joining the Department in September of 2024. Has served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Department since December of 2019, including several periods as Acting Commissioner. [5] Leads the Department's eligibility and enrollment work, including policy, operations, and appeals. [5] Is the Executive Director of Vermont's health insurance marketplace. [5] Focused on increasing access to state health care programs. [5] Her leadership was instrumental in facilitating continuous health care coverage for Vermonters and implementing enhanced subsidies under the American Rescue Plan Act during the COVID-19 public health emergency. [5] Previously served as the Department's Health Care Director, navigating the complexities of changing federal regulations and working on marketplace policy and stability. [5] Prior to joining the Department of Vermont Health Access, she worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. [5] Holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stanford University. [5]
