Named chief executive of ValueOptions of Texas, Inc., a Beacon operating company in 2015. Responsible for managing the Texas NorthSTAR contract and overseeing the delivery and coordination of mental health care and substance use disorder services for the contract's 900,000 consumers residing in seven counties in the Dallas area. Previously served as Director of Development and Public Policy at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Dallas. Began career working for Texas State Senator Bob Deuell as a legislative aide and regional district director. Served on the Texas Department of State Health Services Council for Advising and Planning for the Prevention and Treatment of Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders from 2012-2014. Served on the board of directors of the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority since 2009. Works as a therapist in both private practice and inpatient hospital settings. Earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University and a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Texas A&M University−Commerce.
