Kamal Jemmoua was appointed CEO of Prominence Health Plan, effective July 2, 2019. [8] He is responsible for the continued growth of the health plan and new value-based care ventures. [8] He joined parent company Universal Health Services (UHS) in 2013 and oversaw the acquisition of Prominence Health Plan in 2014. [8] As Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for driving changes that resulted in financial turnaround, growth, and expansion. [8] During his tenure, the company launched a Medicare Advantage line of business in Nevada and Texas. [8] He also spearheaded the launch of five ACOs within the UHS Acute Care division, covering lives across several states, including Texas. [8]
