Joined the VA in 2015 as Chief of Mental Health and Behavioral Science Service, was appointed Chief of Staff in December 2016, and later became Director. Previously served as Director of Inpatient and Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Services at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI, and as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH). Received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin and completed medical school and a psychiatry residency at UWSMPH. Experienced educator, receiving the UWSMPH Department of Psychiatry's Award for Excellence in Resident Education for three consecutive academic years bridging 2012-2015.
