The Nashville SSD supports close to 1000 Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) employees located in 7 Federal facilities and multiple other locations throughout the state of Tennessee.
Selected as the Nashville National Call Center Manager in June 2019. He was previously a coach in the Cleveland National Call Center. He is responsible for overseeing a staff of approximately 500 employees who are tasked with providing timely and accurate telephone service to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors who call the toll-free hot line. John is also an Army Veteran.
Selected as the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Executive Director in April 2022. Oversees health care operations for two Level 1A VA medical centers and 20 outpatient clinics serving more than 140,000 enrolled Veterans living in middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky, and northern Georgia. Leads an executive leadership team of seven and 5,200 employees with an annual operating budget of $1.8 billion. Has almost 40 years of accomplished health care experience, including 34 years in the U.S. Army and 13 years with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 2017 as a Colonel with the Medical Service Corps. Previously the Executive Director for the VA Coastal Health Care System in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
