Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, MO, has launched a new program called the National Cardiology Hub and Spoke Network (H&SN). This initiative aims to improve access to cardiovascular care for enrolled rural Veterans by connecting them to the high-complexity VA medical center (hub) via their local community-based outpatient clinics (spokes). The program incorporates on-site and virtual visits, nurse navigation, and travel support to provide care closer to veterans' homes.

The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center is establishing Virtual Health Resource Centers (VHRCs) at its clinics in West Plains and Poplar Bluff, Missouri. These centers, opening in June and July 2025 respectively, are designed to assist Veterans, their caregivers, and employees in learning about and utilizing VA's various smartphone apps and online healthcare tools, such as My HealtheVet, clinical video telehealth, and VA Video Connect.
