TMHP announced multiple updates on May 30, 2025, including preparation for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2025 Fee-for-Service Claims Billing Closeout, Provider and MCO Guidance for CPW Services, Critical Incident Management System (CIMS) Monthly Provider Demonstrations, information on submitting claims for certain HCCAD Procedure Codes, the addition of Rental of Dual-Function Home Ventilators as a Texas Medicaid benefit effective April 1, 2025, updated Abatacept (Orencia) information in the TMPPM Outpatient Drug Services Handbook, and prior authorization updates for Antisense Oligonucleotides effective July 1, 2025.

TMHP will implement the second quarter 2025 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) additions, revisions, and discontinuations on July 1, 2025. Discontinued codes will no longer be benefits, while added codes will not be reimbursed until reviewed and a rate hearing is held, although some clinician-administered drug codes may be effective as of the CMS effective date with claims reprocessing planned.

TMHP and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) modified the Texas Medicaid enrollment period for care providers who were disenrolled for failing to revalidate timely between November 1, 2023, and December 12, 2024, and successfully reenrolled or revalidated by May 31, 2025. Effective January 17, 2025, the NPI enrollment period start date is backdated up to one calendar year, with claims reprocessing planned for eligible providers.
