Ten Sentara hospitals have received an "A" grade for social responsibility on the 2025-26 Lown Institute Hospitals Index. The evaluation considered over 50 metrics related to health equity, patient outcomes, and value of care. Among the recognitions, Sentara RMH Medical Center was ranked number one in Virginia for social responsibility, Sentara CarePlex Hospital was ranked number one in Virginia for patient safety, and Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital was ranked number one in Virginia for cost efficiency.
