Moda Health has partnered with qiibee to launch a blockchain-powered loyalty program in Oregon. This collaboration, which originated in the Oregon Enterprise Blockchain Venture Studio, allows Moda Health customers to earn points for interactions like purchasing benefits and engaging in healthy behaviors such as brushing teeth, exercising, and healthy eating. These points can be redeemed for service discounts or health-related products.

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) flagged Moda Health, along with Oregon Medical Group and UnitedHealthcare, for excessive spending increases. OHA found that Moda Health's Medicare Advantage plan had an unreasonable cost increase of about 11.6% between 2021 and 2022, although the company ended that plan in 2024.

Moda Health is one of five companies that will offer health insurance in every Oregon county in 2025. This marks the first time five insurers will have a statewide presence. Moda expanded its coverage to include Benton, Linn, and Lincoln counties.

AM Best withdrew the credit ratings of Moda Health Plan, Inc. and Oregon Dental Service (ODS) on March 15, 2024, at the companies' request. Prior to the withdrawal, AM Best had downgraded Moda Health's Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating and affirmed its Financial Strength Rating, citing concerns about the company's risk-adjusted capitalization due to a net loss and repayment of surplus notes in 2023.
