Lisa is Medica's President and Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors. Lisa has more than 30 years of experience in a wide range of industries. She joined Medica in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Medica, Lisa was a Senior Vice President at Optum, where she led pharmacy network contracting and relationships, network operations, and pricing and underwriting. She also served as CFO of OptumInsight, and in financial leadership roles at several other organizations, including Best Buy, General Mills, The Pillsbury Company, and TCF Bank. [1] She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Animal Humane Society and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Academy of Holy Angels, where she served as Finance Committee Chair. [2]
Adam Hjerpe joins the organization as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Adam will lead Medica's operational initiatives in alignment with the overall vision, strategy, and goals. This includes membership and enrollment, claims, customer service, configuration, and the project management functions. [6] Adam brings more than 30 years of experience in health care and financial services. During his 10 years with General Electric and 20 years with UnitedHealth Group, Adam led complex business transformation and implementation in progressive leadership roles as a member of the executive leadership team. [6] Adam earned his bachelor's degree in applied business from the University of Minnesota and holds a Master Black Belt certification. He serves as the board chair for Special Olympics 2026 USA Games coming to Minnesota. [6]
Thomas R. Lindquist joins the organization as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer. In this role, Tom will lead Medica's markets and segments, managing segment strategy, product development, performance, client relationships, network strategy and contracting teams, as well as marketing and customer experience. In addition, he'll have responsibility for developing and executing strategic growth plans to achieve our objectives across our service areas. In addition, he has held roles as President & Chief Executive Officer β Ascension Comp at Centene, CEO at the Allina Health | Aetna joint venture, President at Molina Healthcare of South Carolina, and with Ochsner Health Plan, UnitedHealth Group, and AccentCare/Texas Home Health. [8] Tom earned his bachelor's degree in management from the University of Texas - Arlington and his MBA in Finance from the University of Houston. [8]
Lori leads corporate communications, facilities, human resources, and social responsibility functions and activities. She also leads change management, organization design, and talent development efforts designed to support Medicaβs strategic initiatives. [1] Lori has nearly 30 years of human resources experience primarily in financial services, with a long tenure at Ameriprise. She earned her bachelorβs degree in communications management from the College of Saint Benedict and holds a leadership coaching certificate from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
