Joined in December 2023 as regional president of Kaiser Permanente's Mid-Atlantic region, which includes Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Responsible for the region's performance and overall success, and leads the focus on providing integrated, high-quality health care and coverage in partnership with the executive medical director for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. Previously served as CEO of Cook County Health System in Illinois. Has over 20 years of experience leading integrated public health systems, including executive roles at NYC Health + Hospitals and Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System in Texas. Began his career working for a Congressman in Washington, DC.
Also CEO and Executive Director of The Permanente Medical Group and Co-CEO of The Permanente Federation. Responsible for the health care of nearly five million Kaiser Permanente members in Northern California, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She is the first woman to lead TPMG and MAPMG. Previously served as physician-in-chief and chief of staff at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. Has also served on the boards of TPMG, MAPMG, and the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.
