Wendy Watson

Named President for Northwest Region (Oregon and Southwest Washington) effective February 16, 2025. [4] Previously served as chief operating officer for Kaiser Permanente of the Northwest. [4] She is a 32-year veteran of Kaiser Permanente of the Northwest. [4] Held a variety of leadership roles across operations, care delivery, and hospital administration, including vice president, Ambulatory Care and Clinical Services; senior director, Primary Care and Behavioral Health; senior director, Resource Stewardship; and Hospital Planning director. [4] Holds a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and a master's degree in public health from Portland State University. [4, 5] Completed an advanced fellowship with the Health Care Advisory Board in Washington, D.C., and an executive fellowship with the Baldrige Foundation. [4, 5] She is a member of the board of directors for the Hospital Association of Oregon. [4, 5] Watson was named Executive of the Year by the Portland Business Journal in 2022 and has been honored with the Patriot Award by the U.S. Army for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Leong Koh, MD

President and CEO of Northwest Permanente

Leong Koh, MD, is president and CEO of Northwest Permanente. [9] In this role, Dr. Koh leads more than 1,700 physicians, clinicians, and administrative staff at the largest independent, physician-led, multispecialty medical group in Oregon and Southwest Washington. [9] He has practiced family medicine for more than 25 years and has served in a variety of key operational and strategic leadership roles for Northwest Permanente at both regional and national levels. [9] Prior to his current role, Dr. Koh served as vice president of quality, care experience, and patient safety and as Northwest Permanente regional director of operations for primary care. [9] Dr. Koh's commitment to advancing health equity led him to be named co-lead of Kaiser Permanente's national health equity workgroup and a member of the organization's health equity sponsor group. [9] He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. [9]

Directs Kaiser Permanente's Oregon and Southwest Washington Region. Has over 35 years of executive leadership and consulting experience in health care. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and CEO of KentuckyOne Health. Has served on numerous corporate, not for profit, national, state, and local government boards and work groups. Holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from De Paul University.
