Linda Hines is VP and Regional Medicaid Plan President for Virginia at Humana, Inc. She assumed her current role in October 2023. Most recently, she was Medicaid Plan President for Optima Health at Sentara Healthcare. She joined Sentara in 2020 as President of Medicaid Health Plan. Previously, she was Chief Executive Officer of Virginia Premier Health Plan. Hines' career began in 1980 as a bedside nurse and a nurse manager at VCU Health System. She rose through the ranks of management and leadership with Virginia Premier Health Plan, culminating with her promotion to Virginia Premier's Chief Operating Officer in 2015, where she oversaw strategic plan execution and introduced new lines of business, including the Dual-Special Needs Plan. Hines holds a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's degree in Nursing and an Executive MBA, all from Virginia Commonwealth University.
