James G. “Jim” Springfield leads the overall strategic direction of HCSC's Texas Plan to drive long-term growth and financial stability, as well as the enterprise growth strategy for Individual and Family Markets. [4] Before joining the Texas Plan, James was the national chief operating officer for a national network of cancer centers. [4, 11] He was responsible for transforming strategic, operating, financial and delivery models. [4] He previously held leadership roles at large hospital systems in Texas and a national health care services company. [4] He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds degrees from Baylor University and University of Houston - Clear Lake. [11]
