Joined Hancock family in 1998 when he was a hospital board member. Later joined the hospital leadership team as vice president in 2003. Was instrumental in expanding Hancock's reach with the addition of the Hancock Surgery Center, the expansion of its home medical equipment footprint, the long-term acute care hospital within Hancock Regional, the Jane Pauley Center, the community-based employer clinics, and the creation of Suburban Home Health company.

Steve has been honored to present at national conferences on the subjects of leadership, patient engagement, population health, and cybersecurity and has been published on these topics in many healthcare industry publications as well.
Has been with the Hancock Physician Network for more than 20 years, and has served as the chief medical officer at Hancock Regional Hospital since 2004. Attended the University of Notre Dame where he received his bachelor's degree, then went on to get his Doctorate of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
