Starting August 1, 2025, EmblemHealth will require preauthorization for certain hospital outpatient surgeries for members under age 75. Only medically appropriate procedures will be approved in a hospital outpatient setting. A sample list of participating Ambulatory Surgery Centers in EmblemHealth's provider network includes locations in Bergen, Burlington, Camden, and Essex counties in New Jersey.

Beginning January 1, 2025, EmblemHealth became the new dental benefits provider for 1199SEIU members, including those in the Greater New York Benefit Fund for New Jersey Members. Members will receive their benefits through the EmblemHealth Preferred Premier Plan, with no changes to the dental benefits received. New ID cards were sent in mid-December 2024.
