Courtney Miller

Director for the Medicaid and CHIP Operations Group

Comes to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) from the State of Nebraska's Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) where she held a progression of leadership positions over a variety of aspects of the Medicaid program. Most recently, Courtney served as the Director of DHHS Division of Developmental Disabilities overseeing the administration of Medicaid and state-funded home and community-based programs for Nebraska's aging and disabled population. From 2013 through 2015, Courtney was the Deputy Director of the Division of Medicaid & Long-Term Care. During 2000 through 2008, she held a series of positions within the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. Began her career in public service over 20 years ago at the Iowa Department of Human Services as an Income Maintenance Worker, and she holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Briar Cliff University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
