Optum Washington has notified Cigna Healthcare of its intention to leave the network on August 8, 2025, unless an agreement is reached regarding significant rate increases. Cigna Healthcare is currently negotiating with Optum Washington to keep them in network at affordable rates for customers. An extension to the current contract until August 8 has been agreed upon as negotiations continue. If Optum Washington leaves the network, Cigna OAP, PPO, and HMO members would be affected, with services covered at out-of-network benefit levels, potentially leading to higher costs.
