Curtis Barnett

President & CEO

Serves as president and chief executive officer for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield which serves more than 2 million members nationwide. Prior to his election as president and CEO in 2017, Barnett served as senior vice president of Internal Operations for Arkansas Blue Cross and as president and CEO of its wholly-owned subsidiary company, USAble Corporation. On the national front, Barnett serves on the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association Board of Directors. He leads as chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Institute for Healthcare Management (NIHCM) and as chairman of the Board of Managers for Blue Health Intelligence, a healthcare data analytics and solutions company.

Joined Arkansas Blue Cross in 1997 as a data analyst. Over the past 25 years, she has served in several leadership roles, including manager of Commercial Pharmacy Operations and director of Pharmacy. Earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from Louisiana Tech University and a master's degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
