Lisa Kelley became president in 2024 after serving as the company's general counsel since 2019. Dr. David Lechner joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana in 2019 as Chief Medical Officer. [3] In 2021, he was promoted to Vice President, Health Care Delivery and CMO. [3] Born and raised in Billings, Dr. Lechner graduated from Carroll College with a bachelor's degree in biology and earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. [3] He returned to Montana in 1992, practicing family medicine and then serving as CMO of Community Medical Center before joining BCBSMT. [3]
