Pam Kehaly became president and general manager of Anthem Blue Cross of California on August 30th. Les Ybarra serves as President of Anthem's California Medicaid health plan, Anthem Blue Cross. [3] He brings 21 years of experience in leading Medi-Cal Managed Care operations. [3] He is responsible for all aspects of business and financial operations of Anthem's largest Medicaid health plan, which serves more than 1.2 million Californians across the state. [3] In his previous role as Executive Director of Anthem's California Medicaid health plan, Les was responsible for program management staff across 29 counties. [3] He was dedicated to improving local stakeholder partnerships and individual county relationships in addition to managing the contractual relationship between Anthem and L.A. Care Health Plan in Los Angeles County. [3] He implemented statewide initiatives that impacted Medi-Cal beneficiaries and supported many community-based organizations throughout California. [3] Les currently serves as a member of the Sacramento County Health Authority Commission and participated on the Sacramento Medi-Cal Managed Care Advisory Committee, while chairing the Care Coordination Sub-Committee for over 3 years. [3] For the past 5 years, Les has served on the YMCA Board of Directors for Metropolitan Los Angeles and serves as chair of the YMCA's Urban Council. [3] Les earned his degree in Business Administration at the University of La Verne in Southern California. [3]
Kendrick has served as President of the Commercial West Markets since 2020, leading the performance, growth, and strategic direction for Anthem's commercial business in California, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, and Wisconsin, as well as Specialty sales across the company's 14 local commercial markets. [5] Morgan Kendrick also leads Anthem's commercial business, as Executive Vice President and President, Commercial and Specialty Business Division, joining Anthem's Senior Leadership Team.
